
Meet Samira Gebhardt
I love people! I am both an extrovert and a homebody. I enjoy music and taking a stroll near a body of water. My favourite day consists of playing games with family and friends or snuggling my dog in front of the fireplace with a good book and a cup of tea. I really look forward to working with you!
I am committed to providing authentic, compassionate, and insightful support as I journey with the client through anger, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem and confidence, burnout and a variety of other life stressors. I have had the immense privilege of working with individuals, couples and families, meeting them where they are, and joining them on their journey toward health.
I have a passion for creating a safe space for my client to process through their past and present challenges. I use a variety of counselling models and techniques to meet the client’s unique needs and welcome feedback along the way to make sure it works for them. I specifically pull from emotionally focused approaches for couples (EFCT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness.
I believe that it is incredibly important to find the right fit for both the therapist and the client. I offer a free 20 minute consultation to help you find out whether I am the right therapist for you.
